Kathy’s foray into the real estate industry came via her experience as a commercial mortgage broker. Her forte was in securing commercial and SBA loans for hotels, assisted living facilities, convenience stores, and strip malls.  It wasn’t long before her customers began inquiring about other properties they were interested in. That prompted her to pursue a real estate license in order to better service her existing mortgage customers.

At a time when most companies were focused on residential real estate, Kathy honed her skills as a commercial agent. Eventually, Kathy ventured into residential real estate and now specializes in short sales and distressed properties.

Kathy always treats her customers and peers with a respect that stems from a genuine willingness to help them achieve their goals. Her sphere of influence is extensive and over the years her network has grown exponentially.

A key component of Kathy’s business plans is her emphasis on marketing. As Founder of her own marketing company that bears her name, she cannot stress enough the importance of marketing in the real estate business. She markets her listings well in order to stand out in the marketplace.

Even with a full plate, Kathy finds time for worthwhile endeavors. As a graduate of Leadership Central Florida, she has become an integral part of the community she serves.  She is a Florida Association of REALTORS® (FR) Director, an Orlando Regional REALTOR® Association (ORRA) Director, and was Chair of the ORRA Market Diversity Committee. She was also on the Board of the National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals (NAHREP) and was Vice President of the Women’s Council of REALTORS®(WCR). Kathy has received the Code of Trust Certified Real Estate Professional Certification and is a member of the ORRA Honor Society.

To date, she is most proud of her CDPE® designation. As a Certified Distressed Property Expert, she has received comprehensive training and specific understanding of the complex issues that confront homeowners in distress.
